The Greatness of Allah ﷻ – A Reminder That Increases Īmān
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
We praise Him, we seek His help, and we seek His forgiveness.
Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide; and whomsoever He allows to stray, none can guide.
O servants of Allah,
Reflect upon the greatness of your Lord.
Allah ﷻ is the Author of all existence, the Most Generous to His creation, yet He is Al-Qahhār, the All-Compelling.
He alone is worthy of worship.
He has no partner, no associate, no son, no daughter.
He consults no one.
Nothing resembles Him.
He is the King of kings, the only One with the right to legislate for His creation.
He gives life.
He causes death.
Yet death does not touch Him — for He is Al-Ḥayy, Al-Qayyūm, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, the Absolute.
There is no power, no strength, no benefit, and no harm — except by His will.
“Allah! There is no deity worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all.”
(Al-Baqarah 255)
Billions raise their hands to Him.
Different languages.
Different voices.
Different needs.
Yet every duʿāʾ is heard, without confusion, without delay — and answered with perfect wisdom.
“When My servants ask you about Me — indeed, I am near.”
(Al-Baqarah 186)
Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him — even though we do not understand their tasbīḥ.
(Al-Isrāʾ 44)
From the creation of man, to the rose that grows pure from filth,
From the spider’s web stronger than human engineering,
From the bee producing honey, the silkworm producing silk, the animal producing milk, all from the same source —
You realize: Greatness belongs only to Allah.
Even iron — the backbone of civilization — Allah says:
﴿ وَأَنزَلۡنَا ٱلۡحَدِیدَ ﴾
“And We sent down iron…”
(Al-Ḥadīd 25)
Modern science confirms it came from the heavens — yet the Qur’an declared it 1400 years ago.
Look above you.
The sun and the moon move with precision.
The heavens stand without pillars.
The seas meet but do not transgress their boundaries.
“Each floats in its own orbit.”
(Yā-Sīn 40)
Allah knows every leaf that falls,
Every grain buried in darkness,
Every thought concealed in your chest.
(Ghāfir 19)
O human being, what has deceived you about your Most Generous Lord?
He created you.
He proportioned you.
He shaped you as He willed.
The universe itself is expanding — just as Allah said:
﴿ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ﴾
(Adh-Dhāriyāt 47)
The Kursī encompasses the heavens and the earth.
And compared to the ʿArsh of Allah — the entire creation is like a ring thrown into a desert.
Angels carry the Throne.
One angel’s ear to shoulder is a journey of 700 years.
And yet — Allah can end all of this in a single moment.
(Fāṭir 16)
On the Day of Judgment, the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand.
So reflect.
Submit.
Prostrate.
For true greatness belongs only to Allah ﷻ.
Allāhu Akbar.
